* School Liaison/Transitional Age Youth Liaison
Appleseed Community Mental Health Center, in collaboration with the county mental health board and county school districts, is seeking a part time, highly skilled social service professional to join our Youth and Family Team, working primarily in a school based setting. This position will focus on helping children ages 16-24 make a successful transition to adulthood – focusing on their educational, employment, housing, and community life needs. A Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, or related field required. Previous experience working with transitional age youth, parents, school, and social service professionals around behavioral, emotional, and cognitive issues in a social service or school based setting is preferred. Successful candidates must also display excellent communication, time management, networking, and innovative problem solving skills. Must be a team player, highly flexible, highly accessible to students and teachers; capable of providing on-the-spot guidance, crisis intervention, and linkage with social supports. This position is 32 hours per week during the school year and 20 hours per week during the summer. We offer competitive salary and benefits.
